RIVERSIDE, CALIF. – San Diego State Cross Country wrapped up their final nonconference meet of the 2025 season at the Highlander Invitational hosted by UC Riverside. The trio of Maddy Parrone, Emily Russo and Alexis Wolfinger represented the Aztecs with the remainder of the roster continuing to train for the upcoming Mountain West Conference championship. Russo was the top finisher for San Diego State finishing the six-kilometer course in 22:13.5 which also serves as a new personal best improving her 6k time by seven seconds. Wolfinger finished roughly 15 seconds behind her fellow freshman for a final time of 22:28.3 which was a slight personal and improvement from her performance on the same course earlier in the season at the UCR Invitational in late September. Lastly, Maddy Parrone posted a final time of 23:11.2. With only three athletes competing San Diego State was not eligible to receive a team score.
