BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — A joint narcotics investigation revealed just over 50 pounds of drugs, and a 34-year-old man was arrested at his south Bakersfield home on Jan. 7, 2026, announced the Bakersfield Police Department.

Authorities executed a search warrant at Jonatan Gonzalez’s home in the 600 block of Hosking Avenue, seizing:

46.1 pounds of methamphetamine2.8 pounds of black tar heroin
546 grams of cocaine513.5 grams of marijuana34.9 grams of fentanyl507 pre-packaged parcels suspected of containing various controlled substances$40,565 in cash

Gonzalez was taken into custody without incident and faces federal charges related to narcotics sales.

The operation involved BPD Narcotics Detectives, CHP Officers assigned to the DEA Task Force, and Special Agents from the DEA, Homeland Security Investigations, California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation (CDCR), and the United States Postal Inspection Service offices in Pittsburgh and Iowa.
