Local San Diego musicians Dr. Elena Yarritu, flute, and Dr. Cho-Hyun Park, piano, will present “Enchanted Autumn,” a captivating evening of music for flute and piano on Tuesday, Oct. 28 at 6:30 p.m. at the Carmel Valley Library.
Both accomplished artists specialize in chamber music and are known for their virtuosic, lyrical, yet powerful style, bringing their expertise to an enchanting program perfect for the Halloween season, according to a news release.

The evening opens with Olivier Messiaen’s mysterious “Le Merle Noir” (The Blackbird), followed by Robert Schumann’s lyrical “Three Romances, Op. 94.” The program continues with Maurice Ravel’s elegant “Sonatine,” arranged for flute and piano by Robert Stallman, and Gabriel Fauré’s Fantaisie.
The concert concludes with the virtuosic and beloved “Carmen Fantasy” by Georges Bizet, arranged by Francis Borne and Ransom Wilson. The one-hour concert begins at 6:30 pm and is free and open to the public. The Carmel Valley Library is located at 3919 Townsgate Drive, Carmel Valley.
