The average price of a gallon of self-serve regular gasoline in Los Angeles County dropped Sunday for the 11th time in 12 days, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.677.
The average price has dropped 5.2 cents over the past 12 days, including seven-tenths of a cent Saturday, according to figures from the AAA and Oil Price Information Service.
The run began with five consecutive decreases, then was interrupted by an increase of one-tenth of a cent Monday. The run resumed on Tuesday.
The average price is 3.8 cents less than one week ago and 5.5 cents lower than one month ago but 9.4 cents more than one year ago. It has decreased $1.816 since rising to a record $6.493 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The Orange County average price dropped for the sixth consecutive day, decreasing six-tenths of a cent to $4.642. It has dropped 4.4 cents over the past six days, including 1.4 cents Saturday.
The Orange County average price is 4.2 cents less than one week ago and 6.6 cents lower than one month ago but 13.4 cents more than one year ago. It has dropped $1.816 since rising to a record $6.458 on Oct. 5, 2022.
The national average price dropped for the 17th time in 18 days, decreasing four-tenths of a cent to $3.036. It has dropped 12.4 cents over the past 18 days, including 1.1 cents Saturday.
The run began with four consecutive decreases. The national average price was unchanged Oct. 6, then resumed dropping the next day.
The national average price is 4.7 cents less than one week ago, 16.3 cents lower than one month ago and 14.6 cents below what it was one year ago. It has dropped $1.98 since rising to a record $5.016 on June 14, 2022.
