CALIFORNIA, Md. — A child suffered chest pain after a vehicle struck a deer on Indian Bridge Road Sunday morning in California. Emergency units responded to the scene where a 9-year-old girl required medical evaluation following the collision.

Emergency units were dispatched to Indian Bridge Road near the intersection of Long Bow Drive and Victorian Drive around 8:32 a.m. on October 19, 2025, for reports of a motor vehicle collision with injuries. According to dispatch, a blue Honda Odyssey struck a deer on the roadway.

Officials say, one female required medical evaluation and a 9-year-old girl was experiencing chest pain following the collision. Multiple emergency units responded to the scene to assess the patients.

The deer remained alive at the scene following the collision. No further information about the extent of injuries or whether patients were transported to a hospital was immediately available.

The collision occurred on Indian Bridge Road in California, a roadway where deer crossings are common during dawn and dusk hours.
