After enjoying a week off, the dust has settled from Wild Card Weekend and the Seattle Seahawks know who their Divisional Round opponent will be: the San Francisco 49ers. Part three of this hated rivalry this year will continue in the playoffs. Seattle began the season against San Francisco, concluded the regular season against them, and will fittingly face them in the playoffs for their first game.

This will be only the third postseason meeting between the Seahawks and 49ers. Seattle won the first matchup 23-17 in the 2013 NFC Championship game, while San Francisco dominated 41-23 in the 2022 Wild Card. To date, that was the last playoff game the Seahawks participated in.

The 49ers earned their way to the Divisional Round thanks to a 23-19 road win over the defending Super Bowl champion Eagles. Unfortunately for San Francisco, it was a costly victory. Super star tight end George Kittle was carted off the field, and was subsequently ruled out with an Achilles injury.

As for the Rams, they will head to the Windy City of Chicago for a road game against da Bears. Los Angeles and Chicago barely survived their Wild Card games against Carolina and Green Bay, respectively. I can only imagine what kind of chaos will ensue from that game.

The days and times for these Divisional Round clashes are to be determined. Stay tuned with Seahawks Wire, as we will continue to update when information becomes available!
