BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — On Monday, teens looking to get a head start in the workforce will have a chance to register for the Boys and Girls Clubs Summer Jobs Program.
The program is open to high school students between the ages of 15 and 18-years-old.
Organizers said the goal of the program is to equip students with essential workforce readiness and job training skills so they can explore possible vocations, make sound educational decisions and find success in the work world.

Students who complete the Career Launch program will be able to apply for a paid part-time internship with a Kern County business for the summer.
The application portal is open through Feb. 13. Interested students can apply at here.
