CLOVIS, Calif. (FOX26) — The City of Clovis Council reviewed two surveys to determine what should be displayed on the council building.

Back in November, the City Council reviewed whether the phrase “In God We Trust” should be put in the council chamber.

According to one survey, “In God We Trust” received a 68% positive review.

However, any phrase noting community values, such as “We The People,” received 74%.

The survey also showed that visual messaging was important to be shown in the council chambers.

The City Council decided that the issue would be brought up again in a future meeting to discuss what to put on the wall and who would pay for it.
