The Oakland community space launched a GoFundMe last Friday, January 9th, aiming to raise $10,000 to cover essential repairs and renovation. “We repainted the walls, refinished the floors, and were just about ready to re-open,” the team explained on Instagram. “Then, an accidental overnight fire not only undid much of the work we’d put in, but also set us back significantly.”

Open to the public since 2019, Tamarack is a community-owned bar, events space and free library on Harrison Street, Downtown Oakland. Past DJ bookings include lilia, Drumset, DJ Earth Angel and piscespace.
