XWind Studio has announced its latest scenery project for Microsoft Flight Simulator, bringing Long Beach Airport (KLGB), also known as Long Beach Daugherty Field, into development.
Located around three miles northeast of downtown Long Beach in Los Angeles Count, the airport is a key Southern California airport known for its compact terminal layout and strict noise regulations. The airport serves a range of domestic routes across the western United States and beyond, with airlines such as Southwest Airlines, Delta Air Lines, and Hawaiian Airlines operating regular services to destinations including Las Vegas, Phoenix, Salt Lake City, and Honolulu.
According to XWind Studio, development on the project has been ongoing for the past nine months, with a strong focus on research and learning throughout the production process. The scenery is currently reported to be approximately 70% complete.
If development continues as planned, XWind Studio expects to release Long Beach Airport for Microsoft Flight Simulator toward the end of Q1 this year. We will keep you posted on progress.
