A magnitude 4.3 earthquake struck about nine kilometers east-southeast of Willits in Mendocino County on Tuesday, according to preliminary data by USGS.

The quake occurred at 1:10 p.m. PST at a depth of about eight miles.

The earthquake was detected by 47 stations, with 46 seismic phases reported.

The data have not been reviewed by a scientist and remains subject to revision.

The National Weather Service reports that there is no tsunami warning, advisory, watch, or threat.
