San Diego’s Harland Brewing Company will open its first full-service restaurant on Thursday in the former Ponce’s restaurant space in 4S Ranch.
Founded in 2018 by Jeff Hansson and Anthony Levas, Harland Brewing is one of the region’s fastest-growing breweries. Besides the new restaurant in north San Diego, Harland also operates three tasting rooms in South Park, Bay Park and Scripps Ranch.

“As a Rancho Bernardo resident and parent, I know how hard it can be to find a place that truly works for the whole family. Our community is full of families looking for great food, a welcoming atmosphere, and a place where kids feel just as comfortable as adults,” said Hansen, company CEO. “My hope is that Harland 4S Ranch becomes a gathering place for the neighborhood and a staple in the community for years to come.”

The new restaurant’s menu, created by the company’s culinary director Scott Cannon, includes kung pao Brussels sprouts, grilled flatbread, chicken satay salad, salmon poke bowl, braised short rib and half-roasted chicken. It will also feature some of the popular hand-held items served at Harland’s tasting rooms.
The bar will serve Harland beer, ciders, cocktail-inspired seltzers and an expanded wine list.
