A man was shot and killed in Long Beach, police announced Tuesday.
Officers responded shortly after 7:25 p.m. Monday in the 2300 block of East Artesia Boulevard, about a quarter-mile east of Cherry Avenue, to reports regarding shots fired, according to the Long Beach Police Department.
The victim was discovered with a gunshot wound and taken to a hospital by Long Beach Fire Department paramedics, where he later died.
The man’s name was not immediately released.
Investigators have not determined a motive for the shooting.
Police said the suspect fled the scene upon the arrival of officers, but no description was provided.
