SACRAMENTO, Calif. —

A police SWAT team and crisis negotiators are working to get a suspect with an outstanding warrant to surrender in a Sacramento neighborhood, authorities said.

Police set up a perimeter in the 2800 block of Unity Pointe Avenue in the area of South Natomas.

The suspect, who is possibly armed with knife, is believed to be within the perimeter, authorities said.

Police have not said what the outstanding warrant is for.

Neighbors told KCRA that a police helicopter has been circling their neighborhood during the search.
