BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Adventist Health Bakersfield is providing free childhood immunizations throughout the rest of October at various locations.

The clinics are open to children under 18 who are uninsured, enrolled in Medi-Cal, or of American Indian or Native Alaskan descent.

Parents can schedule appointments for children over five by calling 661-869-6740, while no appointments are needed for those five or younger.

Priority is given to children under five and their siblings. Immunization cards are required for all visits.

Free hemoglobin testing is also available for children and expectant or postpartum mothers with a WIC, school, or doctor’s referral.

The clinics will be held at the following locations:

Walmart Supercenter, 5075 Gosford Rd., on Oct. 20.New Life Church, 4201 Stine Rd., on Oct. 22.NOR-Riverview Park, 437 Willow D., on Oct. 27.

All clinics operate from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.
