Making a cosmic connection while strolling Galaxy’s Edge, the expansive land found inside Disneyland Park, has always been high on the must-do list for “Star Wars” fans.
Of course, that connection might involve a surprise run-in with a Stormtrooper or a sweet moment with Grogu, a petite favorite found on the hip of The Mandalorian.
Now a few favorite characters from different eras will be appearing around Batuu, giving visitors the chance to roam far-reaching timelines in the “Star Wars” universe.
Leia Organa, Luke Skywalker, and Han Solo will soon make appearances in the land, and none other than Darth Vader, too.
Some popular icons that were well-known to the beloved trio, including R2-D2 and Chewbacca, have become Galaxy’s Edge staples since it debuted six years ago, but now the cosmic realm first experienced in the early “Star Wars” films will fill out even further.
“The updates will enable you to experience multiple eras of the planet’s history, including Galactic Civil War and New Republic, as well as the age of Resistance and First Order,” the theme park’s team shared.
Those updates will begin rolling out April 29, 2026.
And if that swelling score you hear in the distance sounds like a stirring piece from one of the first six films, a work created by maestro John Williams, you’d be right: Music from earlier movies will also add sensory flavor to the Batuu experience.
