SACRAMENTO, Calif. — The Sacramento County Coroner has identified the man killed in a weekend shooting in Arden-Arcade as 20-year-old Kaden Solano of Folsom.
Solano was found shot Saturday, Jan.10, near Larkspur Lane and Fulton Avenue, according to the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies said he was shot once in the chest around 9:15 p.m. He was taken to a hospital with life-threatening injuries and later died.
As of Wednesday morning, no arrest has been announced, and deputies are still searching for a suspect.
Investigators remained on scene as the sheriff’s office continued working to determine what led up to the shooting. Deputies have not said whether the shooting was targeted or random.
The sheriff’s office is asking anyone who may have seen or heard something to come forward, including residents with doorbell or home surveillance video from the area.
“Our biggest ask right now to the public is if you saw something, happen to hear anything, even better if you have some surveillance video, whether it’s through a Ring video or anything else, please give us a call,” said Lt. Amar Gandhi with the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office. “You can remain completely anonymous.”
Anyone with information is asked to call the Sacramento County Sheriff’s Office at 916-874-5115.
