San Francisco’s award-winning bar Trick Dog is a local (and international) favorite. Known for its flavorful, balanced cocktails — which change, spectacularly, with a new, themed drinks menu, twice a year — there’s also a pretty serious kitchen component. Tack on some serious nonalcoholic drinks that ensure everyone feels included, and you’ve got one well-rounded bar suitable for groups of all kinds.

Trick Dog is sandwiched between two excellent businesses to complete the night. If dinner sounds like the move, Penny Roma might be able to accommodate walk-ins. Around the corner, award-winning bar True Laurel is there if you want to keep the drinks rolling, and they have substantial food options, too.

Trick Dog’s pandemic spin-off, Quik Dog, is now open near the ballpark. This is a dedicated space for their fast-casual food options, like the Quik Dog — described as “our delicious namesake burger on a hot dog bun.” (Enough said.) Fittingly, there are cocktails here, but with a focus on classics with twists, such as the Gold Fashioned with bourbon, apple brandy, and fernet.
