SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — San Francisco Mayor Daniel Lurie will deliver his first State of the City address Thursday morning.
He is set to highlight that San Francisco is “on the rise” and that neighborhoods are thriving once again.

He’s also expected to highlight his first-year accomplishments, including public safety improvements and a reduction in crime statistics along with an aggressive approach to homelessness and the drug epidemic.
During his campaign, Lurie pledged to address housing.

His promise to make 1,500 beds available for the unhoused in his first six months fell short. Instead, his administration pivoted to strengthening drug and behavioral health services.
In terms of economic recovery, Lurie will discuss downtown revitalization with increased tourism and retail returning to Union Square.

Lurie has also imposed stricter RV parking rules. Last month, his Family Zoning Plan, allowing taller, denser housing, was approved.
