LONG BEACH – Long Beach police are investigating a shooting in the South Wrigley neighborhood of Long Beach, where a man was wounded.
Officers from the Long Beach Police Department were called at approximately 1:03 a.m. Wednesday to the 1900 block of Pacific Avenue and 19th Street regarding a shooting. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a man suffering from a non-life-threatening gunshot wound to the upper body, the department said.
According to the preliminary investigation, the victim was hit by a gunshot while riding a bike before he rode into a local business, where bystanders called the police.
Long Beach Fire Department personnel arrived at the scene and took the victim to a hospital, police said.
According to police, the victim was uncooperative during the investigation and suspect information and a motive for the shooting are under investigation,
