BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Students in one Kern County community are receiving mental health support to help them succeed both in and out of the classroom.
The Greenfield Union School District is celebrating the opening of a wellness center to give students better access to mental health services.
The Wellness Center at Crescent Elementary School focuses on the emotional wellbeing of students by providing social-emotional learning, mental health interventions and behavioral support.
The services provided are led by wellness coaches, counselors, psychologists and social workers.
