Grant supports leadership development and program expansion at Taft College

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Taft College has received support from a major company that will help expand support for students.

Bank of America has named Taft College as a Neighborhood Builder and is awarding them with a $50,000 dollar grant.

The money will go towards leadership development and the expansion of a paid nursing internship program that aims at addressing Kern County’s critical healthcare worker shortage.

Taft College Foundation Executive director Sheri Horn Bunk joined ARC Bakersfield to share how this grant is making a positive impact.
