Rookie forward Quinn Hutson has been selected to represent the Bakersfield Condors in the American Hockey League’s All-Star Classic on Feb. 10-11 in Rockford, Ill., the league announced on Thursday.
The all-star event, which has a skills competition on the first day for all AHL divisions (Atlantic, North, Central and Pacific), has the divisions play each other in a 3-on-3 format for 10 minutes each to determine the top two divisions that will meet for the title.

Hutson, who is the Condors’ leading scorer with 38 points (23 goals, 15 assists) in 30 games, will be part of the Pacific Division’s all-star entry.
The forward, who turned 24 on New Year’s Day, has had quite a start to his professional career.
Hutson was signed by the Condors’ NHL parent team, the Edmonton Oilers, last March out of Boston University, and just recently signed a two-year contract extension that begins next season.
Hutson is third in scoring in the AHL. He leads all AHL rookies in scoring and is second in the league with 23 goals. He was named the AHL’s Rookie of the Month for December and on the day of the award announcement, Jan. 2, he had been called up by Edmonton for his second NHL stint in the 2025-26 season. He has played in four NHL games — three in his first call-up and one in his second — and scored his first NHL goal Dec. 18, which was the game-winner in a 3-1 Oilers victory over the Boston Bruins.

Hutson has been back with the Condors since Jan. 6 and has four goals and two assists in four games entering Bakersfield’s two-game weekend road trip, today and Sunday against the Calgary Wranglers.
His 23 goals have already surpassed the Condors’ AHL rookie goal-scoring record of 19. Hutson is closing in on the team’s goal-scoring season record of 30, set by current Bakersfield captain Seth Griffith in the 2021-22 season.
Hutson is the 12th Condors player selected for the AHL All-Star Classic since 2016. He is the fourth Condors rookie to receive the bid, which comes after Matthew Savoie, also a rookie, played in the 2025 game at Coachella Valley.
Other AHL All-Star Condors are Raphael Lavoie (2024), Seth Griffith (2023), Tyler Benson and Evan Bouchard (2020), Joe Gambardella and Cooper Marody (2019), Ty Rattie (2018), Jordan Oesterle (2017), Laurent Brossoit and Brad Hunt (2016).
