The U.S. Attorney Eric Grant announced that 24-year-old Michael William Hutchison III was sentenced for conspiracy to distribute methamphetamine and possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine.
Between January 26, 2023, and May 10, 2024, Hutchison led and organized violent drug traffickers who distributed large amounts of lethal drugs in the Sacramento region. Hutchison’s specific role involved orchestrating the transport of large drug loads as he sold drugs.
Investigators conducted nine controlled buys directly from Hutchison and seized hundreds of pounds of methamphetamine from the drug trafficking organization.
Grant said that Hutchison’s role as an influential figure in a violent Sacramento street gang influenced his sentence.
