At least one person was dead and another was injured after gunfire erupted in Winnetka, the LAPD said.
Officers responded to the shooting around 4 p.m. near Sherman Way and Mason Avenue.
The gunfire exchange occurred after an altercation stemming from a suspected drug deal, according to the LAPD.
The identity of the victim was not immediately available.
