Triumph Factory Racing’s Austin Forkner missed round 2 of the Monster Energy AMA Supercross Championship in San Diego on Saturday following a crash during 450 qualifying.
Per the team, Forkner was sent to the hospital for precautionary checks due to pain in his back. Scans came back clear and while Forkner is hopeful to race round 3 in Anaheim, the team and Forkner elected to sit out round 2.
At the opener in Anaheim, Forkner made his 450SX debut and finish 15th in the main event.
