LONG BEACH, Calif. — The U.S. Supreme Court is expected to deliver a decision on whether President Donald Trump’s sweeping tariffs are legal.

The port of Long Beach — the second busiest port in the U.S. — has been adapting to the unstable economic environment. At its annual State of the Port address – leadership said that despite challenges, 2025 was their busiest year ever.

There was acknowledgement of how tumultuous the past year has been because of those tariffs. And while the port was able to ride through the choppy economic waters, it was much harder for truckers.
