The Chicago Bears and Los Angeles Rams will battle Sunday with a berth in the NFC Championship Game on the line, and the mayors of the cities have made a friendly wager.

Mayor Brandon Johnson and Mayor Karen Bass posted a video to social media this weekend, pledging to send a delicious treat to their counterpart if their team wins the big game at Soldier Field.

According to Johnson, he will send a jumbo-sized “Bear Down”-themed Eli’s Cheesecake to Los Angeles if the Bears can pull off the win on Sunday.

“When it comes to our sports teams and our food scene, Chicago is second-to-none,” Johnson said. “While Chicagoans are enjoying the sweet taste of victory, Angelenos can bury their sorrows in some delicious cheesecake from a Chicago institution. Bear down!”

If the Rams win, then Bass will send taquitos from Cielito Lindo in Los Angeles to Chicago in celebration of that triumph.

“While I am a big fan of Mayor Johnson and Chicago’s food scene, he is sorely mistaken if he thinks he will be sending me an Eli’s cheesecake after today’s game,” said Mayor Karen Bass. “I can’t wait to celebrate another Rams win and for Mayor Johnson to get a big order of taquitos from L.A.’s famous Cielito Lindo. Go Rams!”

The winning team will have a tall task next weekend, as the Seattle Seahawks thrashed the San Francisco 49ers on Saturday to earn the right to host the NFC Championship Game, which will kick off at 5:30 p.m. next Sunday.
