DAVIS, Calif.—Kaviana Jurries and Ava Johnson won their first collegiate event titles Sunday afternoon to help the San José State women’s gymnastics team score a 195.075 in a dual meet at UC Davis.
Jurries led the vault team with a career-best 9.850.
Johnson anchored the floor team with a 9.825 to win her first floor title.
The vault team led the Spartans with a 49.505, with Jurries’ 9.850, Sophie Patterson and Mikaela Pitts at 9.825, and Devyn Valuch and Johnson at 9.775.
The beam team had a 48.925, led by Olivia Reardon and Genesis PeBenito at 9.800.
The floor team scored a 48.775, led by Johnson at 9.825, and Kaylee Larson and PeBenito at 9.800.
PeBenito led the bars team with a 9.800, as the Spartans recorded a 48.325.
Patterson recorded a 38.725 in the all-around.
