The Friends of South Pasadena Public Library will continue its 30th anniversary season of the Restoration Concert Series with an intimate performance by AlmaNova—an award-winning flute and guitar duo—accompanied by percussionist Till Richter.

AlmaNova, performing on five continents since 2006, is known for their eclectic blend of classical, world, and contemporary music. Flutist Jessica Pierce holds a doctorate in musical arts from the University of Southern California and has performed with international soloists including Yo-Yo Ma and Itzhak Perlman. Guitarist Almer Imamovic serves as an advanced classical guitar instructor at Occidental College. Both musicians have pioneered performances of Bosnian sevdalinke (traditional love songs), with Pierce becoming the first flutist to record the genre.

Till Richter, a German-born percussionist based in Los Angeles, studied under celebrated drummers including Ralph Humphrey (Frank Zappa) and Joe Porcaro (Toto). Richter brings versatility with cajón, world percussion, and electronic elements to complement the traditional flute-guitar format.

Restoration Concert Series with AlmaNova will run on Sunday, January 25, 2026, at 4:00 p.m. South Pasadena Library Community Room, 1115 El Centro Street, South Pasadena, CA 91030.
