(FOX40.COM) — One of the Sacramento Zoo’s newest members is still nameless, and you can help change that.

Sacramento Zoo representatives said its male okapi calf — the first one to be born at the zoo — is ready to be named. Okapi looks like a mix between a deer and a zebra, and is known as the giraffe’s only living relative.

To vote, you must donate on the zoo’s website. Each dollar donated counts as one vote.

Voters can choose from three names selected by zoo staff: Moki, Mambasa and Mojo. Each name has a connection to the role the okapi play in conservation. Voters can also submit a write-in.

Voting ends on Feb. 4 at 5 p.m. The winning name will be announced on Feb. 7, online and in person at a special okapi celebration at the zoo.

Okapi are considered endangered internationally. The wild population, found in dense forests of Africa, is estimated to be between 10,000 and 15,000. There are about 100 okapi in the North American population.
