01.19.2026 | 7:53 PM | LONG BEACH – Two people were injured including one man had to be extricated from his Tesla after a crash sent his vehicle inside a pharmacy, Monday night.
The collision was reported at the intersection of East Roosevelt Road and Atlantic Avenue around 7:45 PM.
When authorities arrived they located a 2023 Tesla sedan that was on its side and lodged entirely inside a local pharmacy as well as a 2012 Honda Accord with damage in the intersection.
Firefighters freed the driver of the Tesla and treated him on scene before rushing him and the female Honda driver to a nearby hospital for further treatment.
Preliminary reports indicate the Tesla was traveling southbound on Atlantic Avenue at a high rate of speed when it collided with the Honda. The force of the impact caused the Tesla to roll onto side side and crash into the pharmacy.
No injuries from the pharmacy were reported and the business was closed at the time of collision with no occupants inside.
Impairment was not believed to have played a factor in the collision though the exact circumstances surrounding the crash remain under investigation.
