FRESNO, Calif. (FOX26) — A man is dead after a shooting Sunday afternoon in central Fresno.
The Fresno Police Department says officers were called out to Angus Street and Yale Avenue for reports of a large fight.
As officers were responding, more 911 calls were coming in that there somebody was shot.
When officer arrived, they found one man lying on the ground unresponsive, with a single gunshot wound to his upper body.

Medical aid was given, and the man was taken to the hospital where he died the next day.
He has been identified as 26-year-old Juan Alvarez.
Detectives are working to find security footage and witnesses to the shooting.
