FRESNO, CA (KMJ)  Former Fresno State star quarterback Derek Carr and late pro sports team owner Bill Tatham will headline the 2026 class of the Fresno Athletic Hall of Fame.

The 67th class also includes 25-time national sailing champion Ruth Barcus and longtime Caruthers High School football coach Tom Casanova.  Husband and wife auto racing team owners Dennis and Teresa Roth are also being inducted this fall.

The ceremony is set for Nov. 5th at the Convention Center’s Valdez Hall.

The 1958 Coalinga College baseball team is also being honored.

Carr, the 1024 recipient of the Sammy Baugh Award as college football’s best quarterback while at Fresno State earned four Pro Bowl selections during his 9 seasons with the Raiders.

Tatham owned pro football and basketball teams including the Portland Thunder of the WFL, Oklahoma Outlaws of the USFL and was part of the group that founded the NBA’s expansion franchise, the New Orleans Jazz.  He also founded the Copper River Country Club in Fresno.
