SAN FRANCISCO (KGO) — In less than a week, San Francisco’s largest mall will close permanently.
The once bustling San Francisco Centre will shut down on Monday.
The last remaining store, Ecco, will have its last day of business on Sunday.
This comes just months after the mall was sold at a foreclosure auction, and the new owners ended all the tenant leases.

BART has closed the entrance connecting Powell Street Station directly to the mall.
A smaller part of that entrance had already closed in 2023, but the remaining doors will now stay locked at all times.
San Francisco Centre’s previous names were Westfield San Francisco Centre, and recently rebranded as Emporium Centre San Francisco.
It once used to have stores such as Nordstrom and Cinemark theater.
