Fresno State lecturer returns after being placed on leave for comment about Charlie Kirk's death

The Fresno State student lecturer previously placed on leave over comments about the death of Charlie Kirk has returned.

Action News was told that they resumed teaching for the spring semester, which began last week.

The university did not provide any additional comment.

After Kirk’s death last September, a video circulating online appeared to show the lecturer making a remark during class.

Fresno State called a comment made “disturbing.”

At the time, Action News did not independently verify the video’s authenticity, but it was viewed hundreds of thousands of times and sparked strong reactions from students.
