Porsche Carrera Cup North America will return to the Long Beach street circuit next year, confirmed as part of an otherwise unchanged eight-round calendar for the single-make series released on Monday.
The championship will join the support bill for the Acura Grand Prix of Long Beach on April 17-19, competing alongside both the IMSA WeatherTech SportsCar Championship as well as the NTT IndyCar Series.
The California venue returns to the calendar after a two-year absence, having previously featured in both 2022 and 2023. Kay van Berlo, Riley Dickinson and Will Martin triumphed in previous races held there.
Long Beach replaces Montreal’s Circuit Gilles Villeneuve on the calendar, meaning the number of rounds held on the Formula 1 support bill has been reduced from three to two.
The Miami International Autodrome as well as the season finale at Circuit of The Americas in October have both been retained.
Meanwhile, the number of ANDIAL Cup fixtures, all held on the WeatherTech Championship support bill, has remained the same at four, with the season opener at Sebring International Raceway as well as further rounds at Watkins Glen International, Road America, Indianapolis Motor Speedway and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta all staying on.
The 2026 Carrera Cup North America season will be the first season with the newly named 911 Cup car, which was unveiled earlier this year.
“This season will be a milestone championship for Porsche Carrera Cup North America,” said Volker Holzmeyer, President and CEO of Porsche Motorsport North America.
“It builds on the consistency offered by an already popular schedule, adding the Grand Prix of Long Beach and a brand-new race car to the mix.
“We appreciate the feedback we’ve gotten from our teams and drivers as we continue to make Porsche single-make racing the best it can be.”
Jim Michaelian, Grand Prix Association of Long Beach President and CEO, added: “Welcoming Porsche Carrera Cup North America back to Long Beach is fantastic news for our fans and partners.
“The series brings world-class talent, iconic machinery, and wheel-to-wheel competition that perfectly complements the Acura Grand Prix weekend.
“We’re thrilled to showcase Porsche’s proven driver-development platform on our streets once again.”
