FRESNO, Calif. (KSEE/KGPE) – A woman and a teenager are in the hospital following an overnight shooting in Fresno shortly after midnight, the Fresno Police Department confirmed.

Officers say on Tuesday, at around 12:45 a.m., officers responded to the area of Bendel Avenue and Palo Alto Avenue after reports of multiple shots being heard in the area.

Police arrived to find two victims, a woman in her 40s and a male teenager, with non-life-threatening gunshot injuries. Both were taken to the hospital and treated.

The shooting location is around 1,000 feet from Northpointe Community Church.

Investigators say the unknown suspect drove past the home where the shooting took place and shot multiple times from the vehicle. A description of the suspect or suspect vehicle was not immediately provided by the Fresno Police Department.
