Authorities are investigating a shooting in Long Beach’s Washington School neighborhood that left two men hospitalized Sunday night.

Long Beach police say the men were in the 1400 block of Magnolia Avenue around 8:31 p.m. when they were shot.

The men took themselves to a local hospital, where each was treated for a gunshot wound to his lower body, police said. Their wounds were not considered life-threatening, police added.

LBPD officers located evidence at the scene that a shooting had occurred, according to police.

The motive, circumstances of the shooting and suspect information are all under investigation, police said.
