BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — One person was arrested after a probation home call resulted in officers allegedly finding 10 guns and ammunition.
The Kern County Probation Department said on January 21, 2026, officers with the Kern County Probation Department’s Adult Probation Services Division conducted a home call in the 3500 block of Truman Avenue in Bakersfield.
The probation department said during the home call, officers talked to Chaz Estephan Calvillo.
Calvillo is on felony probation with search terms.
According to the probation department, during a search, officers allegedly found five semi-automatic handguns, four rifles, a shotgun, and ammunition in various calibers.

As a result of the investigation, Calvillo was arrested for being a felon in possession of a firearm and possession of ammunition by a prohibited person.
