FRESNO, Calif. (KFSN) — The California Highway Patrol says undercover Drug Enforcement Administration agents were involved in a crash on Highway 99 during a drug operation Thursday.
The crash happened during the evening commute on northbound Highway 99 near the Highway 180 interchange.
CHP officers say three people have been detained as part of the operation.
Action News cameras captured at least one of the detainees on the shoulder of the highway, surrounded by DEA agents and CHP officers.
Further details of the investigation have yet to be released, and authorities have not confirmed if anyone was injured in the crash.
Traffic on northbound Highway 99 is currently impacted by the investigation.
