Woman found in alleyway with severe injuries in Central Fresno, taken to hospital

Fresno Police are responding to a shooting near Normal and Mayfair avenues in Central Fresno.

Police say emergency medical services responded to a call about a woman in her late 20s or early 30s lying in an alleyway.

EMS called the police when they noticed she had severe injuries to her head.

When officers arrived, EMS transported the woman to Community Regional Medical Center for treatment.

Police say homicide detectives are on the scene looking for video and any witnesses.
