(KRON) — K-pop girl group TWICE was recently in the San Francisco Bay Area for back-to-back shows at Oakland Arena. Even with a hectic world tour schedule, the international music icons found some time to explore The City by the Bay.
“Members of K-pop group TWICE visited SF Zoo recently when they were in the Bay Area! A beautiful, sunny day where they saw giraffes, zebras and our koala!” the San Francisco Zoo wrote in a Facebook post.
Safe to say, the San Francisco Zoo was excited about Twice’s visit and being featured in the group members’ Instagram posts, which reached their millions of followers. The zoo might have had its most famous visitors of the year.
Jeongyeon posted a mini vlog on her Instagram, capturing their SF Zoo experience, she posted to her 8 million followers. “Lmfao…Lol baby…Is this allowed? Lmfao,” Jihyo commented on the post (translated by the social media app).
Sana, a fellow Twice member who was not at the zoo, commented, “So cute lol (three heart emojis).”

Even one SF Zoo employee, who seems to be a Twice fan, was upset she had no idea the K-pop icons were at her workplace. “Um why wasn’t I informed lol,” she commented on SF Zoo’s post. “I work at the zoo and had no idea lol.”
However, it was not made clear on what exact day Twice visited the city landmark. Jeongyeon’s post documenting their zoo experience was in Korean, but one X user posted an entire English translation of the commentary.
In a separate Instagram post, Jihyo posted that she was exploring the Yerba Buena Gardens neighborhood, posing for a photo around the 100 block of Natoma Street.
Jeongyeon was also at that same San Francisco alley, and the musician later posted a photo of her at Pier 14 with the Ferry Building in the background.
Twice is coming off a monumental 2025 year – becoming the first K-pop girl group to headline Lollapalooza and being the featured artist in the soundtrack for the hit Netflix film “Kpop Demon Hunters.” TWICE’s Chaeyoung released her debut solo album last year, and it was named on Rolling Stone’s “100 Best Albums of 2025.”
Since debuting in 2015, they are considered one of, if not, the biggest girl groups of their time, selling out stadiums across the globe.
