One person was killed in a multiple-vehicle freeway crash in Orange Monday morning.

The crash, involving as many as four vehicles, was reported just after 7:30 a.m. Monday on the northbound Orange (57) Freeway near Chapman Avenue, according to the California Highway Patrol.

One person was taken to a hospital, according to the CHP. It was not immediately clear if that was the person who died.

The crash closed all but two right lanes for the emergency response and investigation.
