BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Kern Regional Homeless Collaborative is preparing for the annual Point in Time Count.
The one-day federally required count of those experiencing homelessness gives better insight into the resources needed in Kern County.
Nearly 500 volunteers will take to the streets on Wednesday, January 28, from 3:30 a.m. to 9 a.m. to get an accurate look at the homeless population.
Executive Director of the Mission at Kern County Carlos Baldovinos joined ARC Bakersfield to share more details.
More information about the Point in Time Count can be found at bkrhc.org.
