BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KBAK/KBFX) — Local artist Noe Silva showcased his painting “Full Bloom,” which he described as a making a representation for Black women.

Silva explained that the inspiration behind the artwork is to make people pause and reflect.

“The inspiration behind this, you know the music I listen to, and this was me experimenting with different aspects of art,” said Silva.

The painting was a gift to his mother for Mother’s Day.

Silva hopes his art serves as a source of encouragement for others and encourages people to pursue art.
