ANDERSON, Calif. – The California Highway Patrol is investigating a three car crash involving a Shasta County Sheriff’s Office patrol vehicle.
Authorities say at around 4:05 p.m. on Thursday, officers from the California Highway Patrol responded to the area of Happy Valley Road and White Oak Drive in Anderson after receiving reports of a three vehicle crash, one of which was a patrol SUV from the Shasta County Sheriff’s Office.
Upon arrival at the scene, officers and first responders found a crash that involved two sedans and the patrol SUV. According to the CHP, the civilians and the sheriff deputy sustained minor injuries in the crash.
The California Highway Patrol says that Happy Valley Road was closed to traffic for approximately 40 minutes while emergency crews worked the accident scene.
In a phone call to Action News Now, the CHP says that there were alternative routes in place for drivers to get around the closure caused by the crash.
The cause of the crash is currently under investigation by the CHP at this time.
