BAKERSFIELD, Calif.(KBAK/KBFX) — The Bakersfield Police Department said its Organized Retail Theft Unit recently arrested six suspects in connection with a series of thefts targeting local stores.
On Sept. 29, 2025, four suspects were apprehended following nine separate theft incidents targeting stores such as Ulta, Nordstrom Rack, Target, and PetSmart, resulting in a merchandise loss of $9,234.76. Roberto Cardiel, 32, and Tiffany Marchand, 32, face multiple charges of theft and drug-related offenses, while Brioni Castro, 35, and Lindsey Owen, 29, were charged with theft.
In a separate case, Kent Angeles, 65, was arrested on Oct. 2, 2025, for his alleged role in eight theft incidents at Lowe’s hardware stores, causing a $2,793 loss. Angeles faces charges of grand theft and shoplifting.
Naeem Washington, 21, was arrested on Oct. 6, 2025, for alleged thefts from Walgreens, Target, Dollar General, and JCPenney, with losses totaling $3,409. Washington is charged with grand theft, shoplifting, conspiracy, and possession of a controlled substance.
In total, $15,436 worth of merchandise was recovered by Bakersfield police.
