(FOX.COM) — The Sacramento Police Department are investigating a homicide that occured Saturday morning in North Sacramento.

Just after 12:30 a.m. officers respinded to reports of a shooting on the 900 block of Elanor Avenue. When they arrived at the scene, officers found a man who sustained at least one gunshot wound.
Officers rendered emergency medical aid until fire personnel arrived at the scene. The victim was transported to a local hospital, where he was pronounced dead due to his injuries.
Homicide Detectives and Crime Scene Investigators processed the scene, collected evidence and interviewed witnesses. The circumstances of the incident remain under investigation.
There is no suspect information to release at this time. The Sacramento County Coroner’s Office will release the identity of the deceased after the next of kin have been notified.
