A Syracuse man was arrested in connection to a 1975 murder that took place in San Diego.
San Diego California Cold Case detectives contacted the Indiana State Police in 2024 for help with a 1975 murder case.
Over the next year ISP assisted in the case and identified Johnnie Ray Salisbury, 71, of Syracuse, Indiana as a suspect.
This week, investigators from San Diego flew into Indiana. An arrest warrant was served on Salisbury, and he was taken into custody on January 21, 2025.

Salisbury was taken to the Kosciusko County Jail and awaits extradition back to California.
